Boomplaats Chorizo is a firmer, cured sausage that can be sliced and eaten without cooking.
Salami is a sausage that originally came from Italy. The name 'salami' comes from the Italian salare meaning to make something salty. The original salami was made from a mix of chopped pork and salt which was dried using air in a casing. Salami is a charcuterie crowd-favorite and, honestly, you really can't go wrong with a gouda cheese (or any other cheese, for that matter) on your snack platter.
On Boomplaats Organic Farm we use our own free-range pasture-raised pork meat in our Chorizo and Salami sausages. We only use organic certified herbs, spices and wine in our chorizo and salami sausages. The recipes for our Boomplaats chorizo and salami were developed using input from all over the world, and to which we added our unique South African flavours.

Organic Herbs and Spices: white pepper, fine oreganum, smoked paprika, fine cumin, sweet basil, finely chopped dried rosemary, roasted powdered fennel seeds, cayenne pepper, chili flakes/powder, chopped dried garlic/flakes/powder and fine black pepper.
